Hola! Mexico🇲🇽 Mucho Gusto!

Sudden work trip to Mexico! I went to Puerto Vallarda and stayed at a resort there for a softball🥎 tournament.

It was my first time to Mexico so the whole experience from landing at the airport, seeing the neighborhood, and realizing how little Spanish I knew was a cultural and learning experience.

The most memorable moment of it all was how close the resort I was staying at was close to the beach. Even though it was a work trip, I loved the factor of being close to the beach and enjoying the ocean view, the breeze, and was just so amazed in God’s creation.

Watching the sunset with an ocean background is a view I’ll never forget and I hope to be able to go back one day. Hasta lugeo 🇲🇽!

Lunar New Year Celebration

If you are Asian, you usually celebrate two new years. The REACH at the Kennedy Center hosted a lunar new year celebration with a collaboration from the Korean Cultural Center in DC.

Outside was a beautiful light display with the zodiac signs, pandas, and mushrooms. Inside were traditional Korean activities and I was told there was also a Korean drum performance as well.

It’s times like these when I am grateful to live in DC as its the ♥️ of culture.

Signal of Spring in DC🌸

In DC, you know it’s finally spring when the cherry blossoms come in peak bloom around the Potomac River. With my sister in town for the weekend, we became tourists for the day and walked along the Tidal Basin and the monuments to enjoy a day in DC. The weather was sunny and warm that it was definitely the PERFECT spring day! 😊

Being in the Nation’s Capital

Being the nation’s capital, Washington D.C. is filled with tourists all year round. People from all over the world come to see the city. As I enter my fourth year living in the DMV area, I realize that I forget that living in the nation’s capital is a privilege and a blessing. 😊 It’s views like these that make me realize to be thankful of where I currently am and to enjoy the sights around me that people may see only once in their lifetime.
