Lunar New Year Celebration

If you are Asian, you usually celebrate two new years. The REACH at the Kennedy Center hosted a lunar new year celebration with a collaboration from the Korean Cultural Center in DC.

Outside was a beautiful light display with the zodiac signs, pandas, and mushrooms. Inside were traditional Korean activities and I was told there was also a Korean drum performance as well.

It’s times like these when I am grateful to live in DC as its the ♥️ of culture.

New beginnings: FALL

Weather is getting colder and the leaves start changing colors. For me, fall signifies a new beginning for me. It probably is because I work on a college campus where September is when school starts and students come back to campus.

Personal news: I decided to pursue a MBA this fall so I started the online MBA program at GW so it is convenient for me to attend school and work at the same time. ⏰ management has become a KEY factor because I need to balance school work and a full-time job. I just finished midterms that it is hard to believe I am already halfway through my first semester.

At work, it is the new start of a college basketball season with a new men’s basketball head coach and the start of a new responsibility in my job that I started 8 months ago that starts when the men’s basketball season starts.

All in all, I love fall-not cause of the weather, but of how beautiful things look while the sky is still blue and the leaves change colors from green to a variety shades of red, orange, and yellow. As colors change, I see new starts as a fresh change that happen in your life for you to take the next step.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJV

Cherry Blossoms 2019

Reminiscing the cherry blossoms on this rainy day… 💦

It’s already been a month since that beautiful sunny ☀️day in early April when the cherry blossoms were in peak bloom. Other than walking along the Tidal Basin to see the cherry blossoms, I also went to Artechouse, which is an interactive art exhibition in DC.

I recommend checking out Artechouse if you haven’t been. They change the exhibit every couple of months. I’ve only been to their Cherry Blossom exhibit this year and last year, but I highly recommend checking out their other exhibits! You can check them out here.

Signal of Spring in DC🌸

In DC, you know it’s finally spring when the cherry blossoms come in peak bloom around the Potomac River. With my sister in town for the weekend, we became tourists for the day and walked along the Tidal Basin and the monuments to enjoy a day in DC. The weather was sunny and warm that it was definitely the PERFECT spring day! 😊
